    Best method for interior scanning

I'm now quite skilled in 3d scanning and I get very good results when scanning objects. but I can't yet figure out the best method to scan the interior of a room.
    Any suggestion/tip/tutorial?
    Sample datasets?

    Hi JumpJack,

interior scanning might be very challenging, especially if you are dealing with uniform / not textured walls.
One of the suggested methods is to walk on the perimeter of the room and shoot in the opposite direction. In this way, it should be easier to get more overlap. Please also have a look at our youtube tutorial about photography for photogrammetry:

I am working on a 2d animation and I'm not good at doing 2d backgrounds so I decided to use 3d backgrounds instead and I was wondering if you can scan interiors.

        Hi sageseyala,

yes absolutely. Interiors are generally harder due to space constraints but the same concepts apply. You have to be more careful with lighting and consider that plain blank walls are going to be difficult.

The most important to remember is that you need to move between shots: staying in one point and rotating only will not give you good results. You can see an example here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E06kgYBftak
