yes, absolutetly, it's actually a commonly used acquisition strategy for acquisiton.

As a side note, if you want to mask it out, you can use masking only from the MvS phase onward, if you check the "ignore masking during SfM" option in the new project wizard.

I have quite better results with reducing the exposure. But :

-I have issues with the automatic masking procedure. When enabling the "turn table" feature, the automatic feature works absolutely great until the 10th picture. After this one, the software doesn't find the model...? I had to manually finish the cropping for all pictures.

-the alignment is strange. So I have 72 pictures, but I can use only 50 ;-). When putting images 1...50, it doesn't works, but 26..72 seems to wok better.

If I upload the pics and the masks on the FTP, could you please take a look at them ?

Hi Yoruk,

the turntable mode simply expects the background to stay the same for a great part, so that it can transfer easily the strokes. If the scene changes a lot (e.g. you moved the camera) then it's perfectly normal that you'll have to adjust the strokes accordingly. Please note you can clear all with the eraser icon.

Hi Yoruk,

i finally had a chance to try your dataset. Which settings did you use? I used 1-50 with Close Range/Default and everything was oriented correctly. Also using everything, all 72 were processed correctly.

Am I missing something?

I have very nice results with the 72 photos.

Of course the top of the model is missing, but I see how to solve it (As explained, I will try to get an other series of pictures).

But I have strange artifacts around the feets :




Can I manually solve this ? (by cropping the model ?) or again this will be solved with an other series of pictures ?
