Getting 3d flow or any photogrammetry software to capture bottom of objects

I tried when shooting my pumpkin to give 3dflow some lead in shots as I tipped it forward and took about 5 shots so I could then spin it to capture the bottom.

Any tips on getting this to work as it didn't accept those shots?

I had to fill hole and use zbrush to finish out the bottom

    Hi CG-guy,

you need to mask out the background. Zephyr has no idea if you want to reconstruct the pumpkin or what's behind it so it will discard images that are incoherent.

Here is a very quick videotutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGRw8LbXknU

and here is a more advanced one https://www.3dflow.net/technology/do...for-turntable/

Yep I have a great black and switchable white foam board back drop. I also have 30" turntable topped with black or white depending on what I'm shooting. I use masquerade all the time very speedy compared to photoshop.

Reading that I'm guessing 5 shots to tip it over wasn't enough I guess. Trial and error plus requires assistant because I'm making sure each shot is focused manually but I do have clicker to not move camera.

then most likely you simply needed some more images

personally i like to do at least a full orbit with the object rotated, so i am sure i have way more overlap than i need to merge the two halves
