I have several lights and use turntable with switchable black and white backdrops

Using canon 80d with manual focus iso 400 f22 or something I think

      Lens I'll have to look

I think it was 30 shots roughly including upper angle and side so about 15 each angle then used masquerade for quick masking

Here's the last one - these last two are still high poly - making low PBR models when done like the 4 above

Wow, that is awesome work! You blew my mind!! Can you also make physical measurements of the cup cakes? I mean like volume of the icing and cake dough, etc?

All reconstructions are initially at an arbitrary scale. You need to bring first the reconstruction into a known scale. Best way to do it is using control points (Zephyr Pro and Zephyr Aerial only) or you can use this trick in Free and Lite (albeit much less accurate): https://www.3dscanninghacks.com/wiki..._Free_And_Lite

Once the reconstruction is scaled, you can use the normal zephyr measurements tool available in Pro and Aerial (including distance, area, volume, etc) or use any other software to measure an exported mesh.

PBR stands for Phisically Based Rendering: you can find a quick overview here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physic...ased_rendering

Hi Andrea, Can the scaling be improved by placing a three dimensional physical object with known dimensions in the scene and calibrating scales for each X, Y, Z dimensions?
