    Ia there a sneaky way of extracting the internal depth map of images?

    Making a dense point cloud - I see one of the stages is making depth maps.

    I'd love to get these - Facebook 3D photos for instance uses them to make interactive photographs. They come in handy for "Magik-eye" images too.

    I was crossing my fingers and hoping the devs may have added an INI file key or something?
    "ExportDepthMap = 1"

    Lol, I can wish!

    Hi Sarah!

    You cannot directly export our internal depthmaps (and likely will never be able to ) but we can export the "depthmap" from a selected camera (basically the z-buffer) which is what you would need for the facebook 3D system.

    I'll discuss this internally with our technical director but I think this should be easy and we can probably add it soon in the current beta

        Hi Sarah!

        My apologies for not updating this thread specifically. The depthmap (zbuffer) export has been added in 4.3 if i recall correctly!

        You need to have computed a mesh. After that, right click any camera and select "export depthmap"

        Click image for larger version
