    Visualization problem after scaling

    Hello,

I wanted to obtain coarsed measurements of a medical equipment.

I use a coin (known dimensions) as the reference object to obtain the real measurements.

My calculated scaled factor was 750.

When I put this scale factor the object becomes really big an the visualization is complicated (shadows, hard to move, cut faces, etc..)

It seems like the workspace is not adapted to this new big object.

I would like to know how to obtain the good visualization after scaling.

Is there a reset method of the visualization and the grid?

Please check the attached filed to see the problem.

    Thanks a lot.

didn't work (scale factor is lost after using it)

    Hi Edison ZAPATA

If I understand your problem correctly, I believe it can be navigated by changing the units you are considering when you're running your calculation of scale factor. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and assume you're currently using mm for measured unit.

Instead of 'mm', consider using 'cm' or 'm' as your frame of reference. This way you'll be able to knock the 750 down to 75, or 0.75 and bring the visualization to within reasonable bounds.

You can also make adjustments to viewport clipping distance (among other things) through Tools > Options > Rendering > Viewport Near/Far Clip Distance.

    I hope this was helpful!
