Scaling of 3d model to be as the same size of the original model

    Hello
please i need a method to calibrate and scale the 3d model obtained by zephyr to be as the same size of the original model
notice: i am working with small objects and i need high accuracy in mm or even fractions of a mm
    thanks

if you need that accuracy it is not possible without having the object in your hand...you have to measure and scale it

Hi Mostafa kamel - For high levels of accuracy it's recommended to use control points in the full version of 3DF Zephyr.

We have an explanation of accuracy and a calculator to help approximate your level of accuracy which can be found here: https://www.3dflow.net/technology/do...sion-accuracy/

Accuracy is a bit of a tricky subject to quantify - You also need to account for any human inaccuracy when selecting control points.

Hi cam3d! Thank you for your advices, they are very helpful. Could you tell me please, to what degree of accuracy is it possible to scale the 3D model? Does it make sense to talk about fractions of a mm or is it rather impossible?

          Hello.
Can I orient and scale the world with the exact coordinates of the three cameras? How to do it?

gravy3d Sorry I didn't see your message until now - The degree of accuracy is dependent on hardware and operator skill, you can reconstruct microns with an electron microscope or meters with an aerial survey.

Egor You can orient and scale using control points - more information here: https://www.3dflow.net/technology/do...es-3df-zephyr/
