WIC: IWICImagingFactory::CreateDecoderFromStream failed.

I am using RAW images from an Olympus camera as base. Zephyr is doing quite well, but in the Log there repeatedly is the following error in red color:

[09:45:09] WIC: IWICImagingFactory::CreateDecoderFromStream failed. Error: Die Komponente wurde nicht gefunden.

(In English the text would probably be: "The component has not been found.")

Currently I am using the free version of 3DF Zephyr on Windows 10.

Is there anything I can do to get rid of this error message ?
Does it somehow influence the result ?

Hi Laurenz,

you do not have the microsoft WIC component installed on your computer.

Please install it in order to leverage the WIC component (which is faster and supports more formats than the fallback, Imagemagick). You can find the links that will bring you to microsoft's download page here https://www.3dflow.net/wic-raw-format/

You can still use the fallback of course, however we suggest using WIC for a better overall experience.

Thanks a lot. - I installed WIC and now the error message has changed:

IWICImagingFactory::CreateDecoderFromStream failed. Error: Zugriff verweigert

(access denied)

On my 2 other computers it works ... this error maybe comes from some GPO restrictions in the office, so I have to live with it ...
