using densification filter

Hi,

I try to solve my pointcloud with densification filter, but although there are new points appearing in the pointcloud,
when I go to Mesh Exraction, I dont see more new vertices in the mesh, How can I use it well, does it have sense in Urban spaces?

Hi Robert - Rather than densification of the point-cloud, try densification of the mesh after it has been extracted.

Some people increase the density of meshes and then apply photoconsistency filters to extract additional detail, but unless you really need to densify your model I'd recommend not using this filter as it can increase your model file size significantly!

thanks for Your answer, the densification is really not what I want, in deed...
The camera, what I use, is a Samsung A71 mobile phone, which doesnt want to work as good as an Iphone!

I tested it with perspective correction on/off, night vision with or without etc..
Even changing the HDR function, maybe it does some cropping or something.
I made the camera calibration as well. (with each settings)
Its sad, because the camera is similar to the Iphone, 12 MP, wide angle!

If you can share some of the photos you have taken with each phone I can have a look at them and see if there are any obvious issues which can be easily fixed.

Phone cameras are not ideal as they tend to apply automatic changes to the image you take - If you want to reliably improve your results consider using a dedicated DSLR or mirror-less camera with full manual control.

Sorry for the delayed reply and thanks for Your offer!
Using a DSLR camera (Nikon d3300 with 10 mm Nikkor) Im very much satisfied with
the result, but I also would like smaller mobile phone for less important projects.
There are students in school where I teach, who make very detailed models
with an Iphone. The trees and the fences are very nice.
I think, it could be done with less expensive devices as many students use only
a Samsung for practiceing, instead of a DSLR, also the wide angle lens are not
always available for them...not as on the recent mobile phones!
So maybe it works, if I download the Zephyr Pro version trial, to make a good calibration
with the control points, so I can make it for some cameras correctly!
some forum posts say that its a possible solution for improveing.
I hope it works, dont you think so?
(if the Iphones can do it..)

Control points can be used to improve a 3D construction in Zephyr however ensuring that your images are suitable to work with is the primary concern. More than happy to look at and evaluate a set of images you are trying to process in Zephyr and I can give targeted feedback on how to improve your image acquisition :-)

Unfortunatelly Im experiencing the same results with the constraint/control points right now,
so it seems like I have to accept the verdict,
Otherwise, the crispy quality of this extra cheap 5mp samsung

The bigger one is maybe impossible to calibrate...
