3DF Zephyr Free Crashes/Won't Boot in Windows Vista 64-bit

    All,
I've just installed the software on my machine; installation went fine--no issues. When I try to run the program, it gives me this message:

According to Microsoft, they're support site says:

"The application is misinterpreting the operating system version and is trying to call a procedure in the Windows 95 or Windows 98 version of the Dynamic Link Library (DLL) that is unavailable in Windows NT version 4.0 or Windows 2000."

Then they tell me to contact the 3DFlow & ask "for an updated version that runs under Windows NT 4.0 or Windows 2000." HAHAHA, in 2017..?

Anyone else running an old version of Windows and having this issue? I can't really dump this PC, as there's software on it that won't run on 10.

    Thanks!

    Hi RDogt,

make sure you are running the latest available version of vista. I suspect you are running a vanilla version or you are missing some important redistributable package, such as Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015.

let me know if/what fixed it!
