What does Dense Point Cloud (unstructured) mean? and how to fix?

I imported my pictures and once I created the sparse cloud I created the dense mesh cloud and is say (unstructured). It wont let me create a mesh. How do I fix this?

    Hi,

an unstructured point clouds means it hasn't originated from the structure from motion process (from photos to 3D model).

You've likely dragged and dropped / imported a dense cloud or mesh from an external file. You'll need to structure it (right click - structure) after you've registered it to your photogrammetry project (if any). If it's from a laser scan, you might not need photos if there's the origin (or origins) with their respective bubble view(s) embedded in the scan file.

It's impossible to obtain a dense cloud or mesh from a sparse cloud and have it unstructured, so there's likely a step missing in your description.

You can find our tutorials here https://www.3dflow.net/technology/do...hyr-tutorials/ and the specific one about structuring an unstructured data file is available here https://www.3dflow.net/technology/do...-registration/

Please note dealing with unstructured data requires the full version as it's not available in the free and lite edition
